Step in the Right Direction!

As far as I'm concerned, often Doctor's have not validated me. Certain things I've thought were wrong with me, many many Doctors said I was wrong about.

The Doctor I saw today however, has validated me each time I've went to see her. Twice she's given me diagnoses that were long needed that others failed to see.

Yay! I'm so happy....does this mean I'm cured? Maybe not today, maybe not in a month, but each step is a step in the right direction. I'm on this path whether I want to be or not. And though I waver, my steps have to be in faith.

So here's the progress....birth control pills (in the post below) over the next few months to see if they help my migraines that occur during my cycle. This will far from solve all my problems, its just targeting one of two areas that I am aware of at this time.

I cannot start them until after my next cycle begins...yikes! I wanted to start today and maybe avoid the 5-7 days of pain, but alas, I have to start later.

So, that's where the Climara comes in. It's an estrogen patch, that's a lower dose than the estrogen in birth control pills. I will start this 4 days before my cycle begins. I will keep the patch on for ten days even though they really only work for 7. But by then, I will be able to start the birth control pills, so it will overlap a little bit.

I will post again on how this does/does not work for me.

I'm just greatful that we aren't out of options yet, and that somebody is giving me some!

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of problems were you having that you can now attribute to hormones? Just curious?!
